This classroom awareness program is aimed at individuals that organise, plan or carry out work at height and therefore need a clear and practical understanding of the Working at height Regulations 2005.
This course will enable attendees to interpret their responsibilities for managing Work at Height activities and to achieve statutory compliance by providing:
Outline of the law and legal obligations for work at height.
Approach for using the hierarchy to aid with the understanding of equipment selection.
Process for selecting appropriate equipment to prevent or minimise the potential fall risk.
An understanding of equipment classification and its usage.
The potential fall hazards and the risk of post fall suspension trauma.
Key reasons for rescue planning.
The types of personal fall protection equipment, frequency of inspection and limitations.
Appreciation of the types if access equipment for site work.
Key areas for roof safety awareness.
Process for selecting and maintaining installed safety systems.
